What they are

What is a corrugated box?

A corrugated box is made from corrugated board: a wavy, fluted sheet of paper bonded between flat liner sheets. This layered structure gives the board its rigidity while keeping it relatively light.

That is why corrugated boxes are one of the most common forms of transit packaging — used to pack products for dispatch, store stock and move goods between businesses.

Choosing the right box

Fit and construction matter

A box that is too large lets products move around; one that is too small can be difficult to pack. The right construction depends on what you are packing and how it will be handled.

When you enquire, it helps to tell us:

  • What the product is and its approximate dimensions and weight
  • How it will be stored, stacked and transported
  • Whether you need printing on the box
  • The quantity you are planning for

Board construction, strength and other technical specifications are discussed and confirmed directly with ABI LLP for each requirement.
